Be proud of me. I actually spent three hours this morning working on an assignment. This week is lecture break too. So me actually doing any work is a pretty big accomplishment. I'm going to have to go in later this week to hand in said assignment, and work on another one at the same time. Seeing as I can only work on that one on the uni computers.

Bleh. I need to write in this. Went home on Friday early from uni, cus felt like crap. And slept. Sleep is good. Now I have to catch up with tuts on Monday. At least they're computing ones. *likes playing with 3D* ^^
On the topic of not journaling in this, I'm probably actually writing more in my actual writing book. I've been trying to write 'not fanfiction'. It's sort of working. I have a three line thing which is me going 'eh?' over some dream I had. There's a random quote in there that went up on my MSN. And random bit of dialogue that could go in some Skyland stuff. Yeah, that's actually fanfiction.
*really has nothing to say* *runs off to write fic*

Yup, sitting at uni on the computer again, doing nothing/procrastinating...
Well, VSU (volantary student unionism) is just coming in. Apparently, our student association is complaining (I wouldn't know first hand, as I couldn't be bothered reading the newsletter they put out, as it's usually full of whinging). I wouldn't entirely blame them. They're probably not going to get as much money. And we do get a few good services. Well, they're complaining anyway. Which I would probably see more of had I read the newsletter...
Anyway, at least someone from the uni has bothered to email out to all the students something telling them just what's going on. Something with all the facts, and no whinging. It's good to know stuff like 'no, the uni is not grubbing buildings back the student association has leased, they're only leased for one dollar a year anyway.' And that while they're threatening that maybe they'll have to close down at the end of the year if they don't have enough funds... well, according to the uni they have enough built up funds to run for another two years.
*gripes*
And now, to do some actual work...

Pick a fandom for me (I assume, as it wasn't specified, but that's what everybody else was doing:P) and I will answer these questions.
1. The first character I first fell in love with (figuratively, I think)
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer
6. The character I would shag anytime (note: ain't shagging anyone until I get married. :P So I guess we'll have to assume this one minus my personal opinions ;))
7. The character I'd want to be like
8. The character I'd slap
9. A pairing that I love
10. A pairing that I despise
You make me do this, and you've gotta post this in your journal. :P

Q: How do you get H to write in her journal?
A: Make her have to sit at uni for five hours waiting for the next lecture! :S
Well, I was going to use three of those hours to write hopefully half an essay. I really hate writing essays. Well, I've got a thousand word-ish thing and it took me a bit over an hour. I guess I knew what I was talking about. And have also figured that essays don't annoy me as much as they used to. Maybe it's because I haven't written one in so long that I don't have that stupid 'topic sentance, body, clincher' going through my head from year eight. Maybe I should be a bum and write an essay about something fangirlish. I am trying to write more stuff than straight fanfic. Don't want to get stuck in a hole of just writing fanfic. It actually gets annoying if you write something with the same characters for so long.
Anyway... I need to find something to do for an hour before I go have lunch. Might actually, like, do some work. If I run out of that I'll pull out a sheet of paper and write/scrawl/draw.
*runs away as there are too many people in computer lab*

Star Trek Personality Test Thingy.
Aug. 11th, 2006 | 09:34 pm
mood:
blank
music: Skillet - Fingernails
This test says you are an INFP (Introvert, Intuitive, Feeler, Perceiver).* In Star Trek, you share a basic personality configuration with the characters of Garak, Kes, and Phlox.
"Unless I'm mistaken, they are preparing to mate. Do you think they might let me watch?" - Phlox
Qualities
People like you are generally nonconforming, deeply passionate, and highly dedicated to your personal values. You're reserved, which covers a sensitive spirit easily hurt, the deepest sense of conviction, and a constant state of wonder. You're highly imaginative and creative. You're curious and often study others quietly. You're flexible in small matters. You don't dance to other people's tunes, but you can pretend you do. You get what you want by talking, not screaming.
You're loving and dedicated to people you care about, but you do not compromise your principles for them. Your sense of what is right comes first, even before yourself. You respond best to people who respect your privacy until you let them in, then provide you with emotional intimacy.
You're not the world's most tidy person, nor are you fond of housework and bill-paying. However, if you apply yourself, you may discover a hidden talent for dealing with money.
Goals
Your primary goal in life is to be true to your deeply held beliefs and to live in harmony with your values. Your reward is to have your ideas benefit others.
Work
It is vital to your energy that you enjoy the feelings of "good triumphing over evil." Revel in your victories and watch out for becoming dispirited over life's inevitable failures. You have a great capacity for fantasy, so you may want to turn inward to a world where everything is perfect to the detriment of your effectiveness in "reality." Your nobility includes a propensity for self-sacrifice, but under great stress, you can question your own identity.
A good supervisor will keep your position clearly defined and encourage your curiosity with praise and open support. A bad supervisor will take advantage of your habit for taking the blame for everything, including the weather and acts of God.
Relationships
You have a very strong sense of other people's feelings and are loyal to the core. You are affable and cordial as a rule, but when your values are challenged (or someone you care about is threatened) you can be surprisingly vicious. Be careful about lashing out at others for merely perceived threats.
You may have difficulties in over-romanticizing your relationships, particularly when you feel sincere love. Your desire for idealized perfection in harmony may make you too sensitive to ordinary setbacks and conflicts. On the other hand, your genuine desire to care may make you insensitive to when others don't want to be helped.
Jobs
Good careers for your type include being a psychologist, human resources professional, Cardassian spy, physical therapist, translator/interpreter, legal mediator, college professor of humanities, and art director.
***
I like Garak. ^^ I'm not sure if I'm that 'humanities' type thingy orientated but... and I don't think I do 'deeply passionate'.Not publicly anyway.

Second day of uni.
My lecturer purposefully put us all in dysfunctional groups to do an activity. According to my thingy I filled out I was a 'speciallist'. 'Speciallists' don't work well together, apparently. Or, more precisely, just say 'yes, we agree' to the topic of discussion and don't see the point of 'discussing' it further.
Well, I think my group at least got the point of the exercise rather quickly, at least. :P

Well, due to the Skyland community on LJ that I have just joined, I think I'm going to start writing in this things again. I'd tried writing in the msn spaces, seeing as people I actually knew in Real Life (the type not dictated by a computer, no offense to everyone who I love so much ;) )were on there. Well, none of them hardly every look at the thing, do they? So, love me, and I might not run away again.
Have just been away on a CU/uni camp. CU standing for Christian Union. So, us strange bunch forwent out last week of holidays to spend a week that could virtually be classified as studying and attending lectures. Not that we didn't do other things as well. But was mostly learning stuff and actually having to think about it. Which is good. ^^
Anyway, uni starts back next week. So I shall hopefully have caught up on sleep by then. And hopefully I'll keep consistantly posting in this. >

Had a quite good day today. Even though I did nothing spectacular. First, I went through my clothes, because everybody had shoved thier's in my closet and it needed cleaning out. And I'm always complaining when I go shopping that they have no shirts I like. Well... it turns out that I have almost thirty shirts in my closet, mostly T-shirts. Whoops o_O. It seems that everytime I actually see a shirt I like when I'm out shopping I buy it, because I hardly ever see something I like. I should probably stop doing that now. o_O
Also went grocery shopping with mum. Our cupboard is now stocked with enough snacks and soups and stuff that we can have lazy lunches and watch heaps of movies. >:D And while out there... walking past the toy section, I saw a Mega Blocks toy dragon thingy. Which looked really cool. So I bought it. :P Is very pretty (note: my version of pretty) and with movable bits. ^^
Also went to the video shop and rented some DVDs (I suppose its the DVD shop now, they used to have videos, but today there were only videos in the stacks they were actually selling). Mum got Kingdom of Heaven, which I'll be nice and watch with her. And we also got Howl's Moving Castle and Ghost in the Shell 2. ^^ Will hopefully be watching Howl's Moving Castle later tonight. :D

I have one more exam to go... and then no more uni! And what is really strange, is that uni hasn't even properly finished, and I already feel all 'ah I'm doing nothing!' I stress out half the uni term, and then when I get a break I don't feel like I'm doing anything! >< People, I need a job or something, or at least prod me so that I actually write something! (Which I really should do seeing as I have two big stories on the go, and one that is half dead that I haven't written in in ages and really should be finished!) >< Did I say '><' yet?! *dies*
And I still have this exam tommorrow. Which we get to bring in whatever the hell we want! ^^ I suppose that is one good thing.
